We focus on mental health in the workplace combining psychological and organisational perspectives providing consultation and educational workshops.
CBT and Mindfulness in Schools
The Institute of Education University London and evidence-based teaching practices advocate lessons in CBT, the results found CBT delivered to young people in secondary schools can reduce depression and anxiety. The research paper states anxiety in children is very common and impairs their day-to-day lives. Current research in the fields of Cognitive Neuroscience, Mindful Education, Social and Emotional Learning, Positive Psychology mentions research that suggests that by the age of 16, 10% of children are affected by an anxiety disorder.
First aid for mental health
Our First Aid for Mental Health enables delegates to be sensitively aware and respond with skill as a Mental Health Champion or as part of a Mental Health Support Team. Our Qualifications are Accredited and Regulated, support Ofqual credits and accounts for CPD hours. Our training packages, which can be tailored, equip individuals and organisations in identifying and assisting someone who is developing a mental health challenge or is experiencing a mental health crisis such as anxiety, bouts of depressions, and difficulties with adjustment or the after effects of trauma or bereavement. The central aim is to improve the Mental Health Literacy (MHL) of individuals and organisations, defined as the ability to be sensitively aware and respond with skill to people experiencing mental and emotional challenges, and facilitate appropriate action.
